Ive only been fishing for a few months now and needed some tips.  As we all know fishing in the heat of the day is almost impossible. Ive caught a few Bass and am learning quickly  where, when, and how to fish for them but really wanted some tips on night fishing for bass.  I usually stick to a plastic worm on a Texas rig and that has worked out well. Recently purchased a black jitterbug for top water but never know when to pull it out. Also just picked up a spinner bait as well. Can i effectively use the spinner bait at night? Any tips would be gladly appreciated on what lures to use and how to catch more bass at night.

Thanks!!

I've learned that slow rolling a spinnerbait off the bottom works really well at Tempe Town Lake when they won't bite on most other stuff at night. When I say slow, I mean really slow, as in barely moving the bait on the bottom. Gold Colorado blades have been the best to me. At TTL, the bridges are good places to hit, but it is extremely pressured there. If going to Canyon, Saguaro, or Bartlett, I have never night fished there, but a wide wiggling crankbait has worked for me when there is low visibility. The issue there is access. I hope this helped a bit. I know it's tough to find fishing advice for Arizona, especially from the bank.

Yeah i honestly havent fished TTL yet even tho i live in tempe lol I lll have to throw the spinner bait out on those slow nights and try it out then. I just got it and just havent had the opportunity yet. Im still waitin to get out to the bigger lakes tho, i fished woods canyon a few weeks ago and got skunked. A lot of people there so i figured thats why. Thanks for the advice!

No problem. Woods Canyon is weird. I've had days that I've caught 20+ fish and days that I catch nothing. Having a lot of people there doesn't help, either. Town Lake is good for figuring out techniques, but if you want to catch a lot of fish, go elsewhere. Good luck!
