Thinking about making this purchase for my first kayak, any thoughts/suggestions?

Found it online for $350...a little more than I'd like to spend right now but if it's a good deal for the kayak I'll pay it.

Any help is appreciated guys!! Thanks

I also have an Apex 100 Angler.  It is pretty close to the one you are looking at.  Is it the best kayak in the world, no.  It is the most fashionable kayak, no.  Will it get you hot babes, probably not.  Will it get you on the water, yes.  The fish will not rub their nose at you because of you boat.  If it is what you can afford then go for it and enjoy it. I would suggest you upgrade the seat.  I bought a tall backrest padded seat off ebay for 50 bucks.  It made a big difference.  I also added some pad eyes and a 6" dry bag hatch but yours already has those.

I have since upgraded to a Ride 135 but my kids use the Apex 100. The Apex 100 is light and easier to get places that a larger kayak would be a chore.

Keep an eye on craigslist, my brother picked up a perception caster for $200 on CL that normally retails for 550.  Also don't be afraid of sit ins, I use a Ride 115 SOT (Sit On Top) and it's nice but plenty of fish have been caught over the years in SINKS (Sit INside KayakS) and you can get them a good bit cheaper at times.  My personal opinion is that SINKS paddle a little easier than SOTs and if you're covering lots of water it's what I'd prefer.  I used to have an Old Town Predator K111 and it was actually marketed as a hunting and fishing kayak, only paid $200 for it as well.  Be patient and check some of the kayak forums in your area, it'll pay off.
