CYP Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Its tough to see in the pic but my transducer will only fit at somewhat of an offset angle due to the rudder on the motor. Its a Minn Kota Endura C2 30 On the base believe it or not I dont have room for the transducer (Elite-4 DSI), if I try and do it flat and level it interferes with the prop so the only option I have to mount it on the trolling motor is to slide it down a little by the rudder which makes it offset a little. Its hard to tell in the photo. Anyway, is this something that is OK? Thanks, CYP Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted July 15, 2014 Super User Posted July 15, 2014 To get accurate depth readings and images, the face of the transducer has to be parallel with the water's surface. Quote

I guess Ill have to figure something out. I have a motor mount not an actual transom (inflatable) Quote
ifeliciano Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Can you have a bracket fabricated? Mount x-ducer to bracket and use large hose clamps to attach bracket to trolling motor. Quote
gramps50 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Had mine mounted on the trolling motor and didn't care for it. Everytime I turned the image would start over. I have down scan graph. To counter act this I mounted the transducer on it's own mount I made out of an old trilling motor. Quote

I saw something similar on youtube and this should work for me. Quote
tntitans21399 Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 When I bought my boat it came with a compatible transducer so I I used mine for the trolling motor. I bought the trolling motor adapter bracket which is basically a big pipe clamp with a transducer on it. You can try silicone caulking it to the trolling motor and clamp it for 24 hours to let it fully cure. Quote
Mr_Scrogg Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Send me your addy, I got a TM mount that's not doing anything. Quote
CYP Posted July 28, 2014 Author Posted July 28, 2014 Send me your addy, I got a TM mount that's not doing anything. I appreciate it but it wont fit. The rudder on the trolling motor is too long. My finder came with a mount, the transducer is just too long it hits the rudder if I move it more towards the prop its going to be like 1/2 from the prop. I am makeshifting a mount to hang on the transom. Thanks much though Quote
