cjam93 Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I was wondering if anyone else has noticed a very high rate of Little John and Little John MD cranks needing to be tuned? I am ok with tuning a cheaper crank, but for the price of a Spro crank, I would think it should be ready to go out of the package. I love the action, and I have caught more fish on those cranks than any other crank I have tried, but I am about ready to start looking else where for my cranks. Quote
Super User *Hootie Posted July 15, 2014 Super User Posted July 15, 2014 If you're catching a lot of bass, I would just put up with that little inconvenience. Other than the tuning, sounds like they are working well for you. Hootie 1 Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted July 15, 2014 Super User Posted July 15, 2014 It will pass, probably a bad lot or something, but I understand at the price... Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted July 15, 2014 Global Moderator Posted July 15, 2014 Never had a single Spro crank that wasn't perfect out of the box. 2 Quote

NathanW Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 My DD's run fine. Never tried the other stuff. Quote
CTGalloway21 Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 i love mine but still catch more on a Bandit 200 Quote
cjam93 Posted July 15, 2014 Author Posted July 15, 2014 True they are working well for me. I understand that compared to things like Megabass or LC they really arent that expensive, but they are the most expensive cranks that I have paid full price for and not just found on sell so to me it seems like a good bit of money. It is good to hear though that other people have not encountered the same issues that I have, hopefully the next couple I get will be better then. Thanks! Quote
Crankinstein Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Havent had any issues with mine. I use the little john MD quite a bit. Quote
Jon G Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Yup the last 12 Little Johns ive had, had to be tuned right out of the box. I catch a lot of fish on them so I will deal with it especially since tuning a crankbait is extremelly easy. But I will say I shouldnt have to tune a $11 crankbait right out of the box IMO Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted July 15, 2014 Super User Posted July 15, 2014 I haven't used the little john DD but I frequently use the shallow Fat John and little john squarebill. I've never had to tune a single one. Quote
