I thought I was finished with the whole stupid polar vortex thing, what a winter, now they are saying 69 degrees on Wed.? Cooler temps for a bit, it's nice, but strangely different, what's up with the weather? It's been odd, around here for the last 5 years.... I don't ever, ever, remember highs in the 60's in July not in the Louisville area! What say you?

Yeah this is weird but I love it. I just wonder how the fish are going to react, will they stay deeper or come shallower because its cooler

Dude, it´s global warmin´.

Down here it´s chilling less than 90°, which is normal for this time of the year because it´s the rainy season, hell, it rains cats and dogs every single day ! Why you think I´m here posting instead of being out fishing ?

Yes this year has been strange and the normal timing season for bass has been off kilter

topwater hasnt been as great as I experienced last year maybe cause of the late Spring

had to figure the fish out alot more this year than last

.. Raul, if its rainin' I'd be out there

High of 60 here forecasted for Tuesday ~ Admittedly that's a little cool for July.

Rain every night and 65-70 every day - It's been a Excellent "Summer" so Far.

It's calling for mid to high 70s here all week while I'm doing my annual 2 week training for the guard. I'm not complaining I've had much much worse in The last 7 years I'll take the mild temps.

I read elsewhere, the walleye are already in fall patterns up in Quebec.

Global cooling sounds more like it. Y'all can complain all day about the cool weather and the rain. Pshhh. The pigs are moving during the day right now. Everyone's favorite Raider is loading the freezer. Especially them young tasty little pigs. Delish, delish, delish.

Can someone make sure the vortex extends to south eastern Virginia, please?

We endured two days of soccer tourneys in stifling heat and humidity, and very light winds.

I'm ready for some cool. Don't really care how the fish react at this point. I want to get some outside housework done!!

You also call it "pop" but the correct term is "soda".

And if you're from Texas it is "coke" no matter the soft drink!

I use all 3 of those terms. I always say coke when I'm ordering at the drive thru and call it soda or pop otherwise.

100+ degree temps up here in the Pacific NW - about 20 degrees warmer than normal and breaking records left and right.  We're under a heat advisory and high wildfire danger.

It's a mild El Nino that's in effect.  It typically creates warmer and dryer conditions in the NW, and cooler/wetter conditions throughout the southern U.S.  Considering the drought conditions in many of those areas, I don't think too many people are going to complain about the rain.

Im just hopen for another real winter like we had last year. This is what winter was like 40 years ago, and one reason I live in NW Ohio. temps were perfect but could have used a little less snow. I made for a great hunting season, and an excellent spring Walleye and Crappie season here.

I beg the differ. Its called "coke" in the deep south too. Especially in Sweet Home Alabama.

I stand corrected. I lived in Texas, did travel in other southern states, but I guess I didn't hear it too much elsewhere.

I'm "fixin'" to go back to work now.

I love Coke, but there´s only one beverage you can call "sacred", " the holy of holiest" ( it´s so holy that you can be christened with it )  specially in Southern Texas where I´ve lived and that´s ----->  Dr. Pepper

let me just say ... my brother is a top meteorologist in the United States Air Force, and he will tell you, there is absolutely no such thing as a "polar vortex". This is just something made up by the forecasters on TV when they don't know how to explain something crazy going on with the weather. I'm not trying to make anybody sound bad ... but next time you see a weatherman, ask him to explain the "polar vortex" and just see what he says:)

I heard Al Roker, I don't know how to spell it. But he said that the term "Polar Vortex" Was studied when he went to College. He says it is not a made up term, like some say. Hell I don't no and don't really care, all I know is its probably going to mess up the fishing.

Dr. P was pretty sacred up in the DFW area, but the waitresses always asked what kind of Coke you want: "We have Sprite, Dr. Pepper, Coke, Diet Coke".... and so on.

What killed me was when I lived in Western NY. It was PAAAAAAAHP. Must be said with heavy nasal sound, too. Not "pop" as in your Dad, but paaaaaahp as in what kind of soft drink do you want.

Man. I took this off topic pretty bad. Sorry, LOL. Back to the non-existent Polar Vortex of Awesomeness.

Your own opinion is fine, personal political remarks are not.
