Mumbly Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Only smallmouth up here so if I had to pick one as an all-time most productive I would say a Heddon Torpedo in bullfrog. Having said that, lately a Rebel Pop'R in clear or bone has been working incredibly well. Last month it was a Super Spook Jr. in bone and a Zara puppy in bone. Guess this all means it's sometimes situational as to what the fish like. Quote

Heddon's Tiny Torpedo is one of the finest top water baits ever made and will surprise you from time to time by getting a strike from a bass that's much more than average...I'm down South and I assure you we use 'em down here, too. Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted July 13, 2014 Global Moderator Posted July 13, 2014 I bet I could count on both hands the number of topwater fish I've caught this year, a majority of them were on a Zell Pop though. Quote

I think I saw one at bass pro one time. What's the difference between that and a $3 rebel pop-r besides a fancy paint job and better hooks (which can be replaced anyways)? Quote

bradc36 Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 If you haven't used one you won't understand how awesome it is, Arbogast Buzz Plug in black or firetiger. Other than that keep it to livetarget frogs and field mouse for heavier cover. Quote
