Have 6 Pfluegers never a problem with any of them, but nothing lasts forever.  My most used freshwater reel is a Supreme 30, it may be 5-7 years old.  5 years with 12 months of fishing almost daily might be a lifetime of fishing if I were in a different area, so nothing to complain about.  My Supreme was a bit sticky but loosened up after a couple of minutes, I thought the bail spring might be going too, still had mileage if I wanted to stay with it.  I sent it in to Pure Fishing, they called me the day they received it (yesterday) quite often they replace these reels and pay the shipping back, not this time.  Parts and labor plus cleaning would have been $60, but gave me the option of buying a new one for $55. plus shipping.  Looking forward for 5 years with my new one.

The Bait Monkey loves you.

I just got three new Purists in different sizes but haven't had the opportunity to use them.  I can't wait and hope that I enjoy them as much as all of you.  One note, I keep seeing the that the only difference between the President and Purist is the drag but isn't the Purist also lighter?

I have a Supreme and two Supreme XTs. I think the Supreme is the best bang for the buck spinning reel out there. All three of mine have been flawless.

As stated I bought a new supreme 30 instead of fixing my old one.  Can't say I did the wrong the thing but I am a little disappointed.  I have 2 other supremes 25 & 35 which are supreme, they work great.  My new one comes, first problem was a line stacking problem, took care of that.  The reel is not as smooth as the one I sent in, it's ok and I'm optimistic in time that it will get "broken in".  I may have got a bad reel, buying on line you can't hand pick the reel,  not knocking Pfluegers, still think a lot of bang for buck,.

I've always been a Shimano fan. Have 6 of them now, from UL to the 4000 series. Very dependable reels. However, they've been increasing in price regularly, which is getting to be expensive. I got my first President this past spring. An UL 6920 for a 9' B n' M SHSS rod. Great match up. VERY smooth action. Casts beautifully. I couldn't be happier, especially at <$50.00! I'll be duplicating it again this spring. And I think I'll be buying more of these Presidents. :)

Same here, big fan of the previous model Sahara and Symetre but not so much the new models. I sold my Sahara FE and a couple sedonas and am replacing them with a Supreme MGX that I got for $37 at Dick's last week (thank you BR) and a couple presidents. This supreme would be a good deal at regular price but at the price I paid it was a steal!

I LOVE the "Presidents"  I have my third one coming this Christmas.  I see no reason to buy anything else if something this inexpensive gets the job done.
