ghost Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I know there's that frustrating feeling that it's something you want cuz you had one and it was lost one way or another. Â Â Or you've heard or seen that particular lure but just can't have... Quote
OroBass Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I guess glide baits because of the price of entry. I live in cali where they use huge 10 plus inch super realistic baits to catch giants. Some of these swim baits cost well north of 100 bucks! Not to mention a specific rod and reel combo to throw the 4 oz plus bait. Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted July 11, 2014 Super User Posted July 11, 2014 My Bagley collection from about 79 to 2008, I sold them off to a collecter, I made a fair amount of cash and a GLX flipping stick with recoils, but I wished I hadn't 2 Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted July 11, 2014 Super User Posted July 11, 2014 There are some wooden swimbaits that I REALLY wish were still made. Tough to find, difficult to swallow the price tag on them in today's market. Quote
Super User Raul Posted July 11, 2014 Super User Posted July 11, 2014 Rapala Shallow Fat Raps, man, not only they are getting hard to find, they are pricey 15+ bones a pop. 1 Quote
OntarioFishingGuy Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Rapala jointed countdowns. On Ebay they sell for over 20 bucks a pop, but they are killers for when lake trout are up shallow. Quote
ghost Posted July 11, 2014 Author Posted July 11, 2014 Wow, didn't know a Rapala jointed countdown even existed. Â That's what I've noticed about ebay, it's not like before you can bid or buy something cheap. Now buying from ebay is expensive and I hardly see any bids for things. Â Times a changing, even on ebay. 1 Quote

Super User Ratherbfishing Posted July 11, 2014 Super User Posted July 11, 2014 A (the) Giant Haskell Minnow. I understand it brought over a hundred thousand dollars at an auction. Quote
Super User QUAKEnSHAKE Posted July 11, 2014 Super User Posted July 11, 2014 Two recent ones for me. Rapala Silent Rippin Rap Chrome Blue Pike took my last one cant get any more Kinami Palm Tree Watermelon Chartreuse discontinued but I did manage to source about 90 packs before they were gone so have to ration their use. I lost two to low hanging branches yesterday thought very seriously about wading out to get them. Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I would like about 2 dozen some LC RC1.5s in Blue Bream. Or I wish the LC RTO 1.5s (same bait as far as I can tell, just doesn't have Clunn's name on it) would use that pattern. Quote
papajoe222 Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Terminator's black spinnerbait with the beveled Colorado blade. I forget what it was called, but it flat outfished any other I've used at night. Quote
Super User FishTank Posted July 12, 2014 Super User Posted July 12, 2014 The original Flapin Hog from GYCB. They some how violated a patent law from some one else's bait. Â Quote
slainempire Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 mr twister sassy shiner. havent got to use them since the early 90's. combined with an 1/8oz jighead, we used to catch all kinds of fish with them. black with red fleck probably worked the best. Quote
hatrix Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Roman Made Mother It's just soooo much $ Roman Made Negotiator "Custom" They just don't exist to be had. In all fairness I kind of gave up looking for a negotiator custom a while ago but there might be some out there now. There was a few to be had but I was not paying 2x the price so let them pass. I just throw the DEPS now but still wouldn't mind having a negotiator to play with. There is also some real older Castica swimbaits that would be cool to have and I guess are real top notch big fish magnets. Quote

I catch a lot of fish on the smaller ones like a DEPS 175 sk converted to a ss or the Gan Craft 178. I will say though there is a difference in performance between those and the DEPS 250 and Gan Craft Jointed Claw but as long as your have a decent swimbaits setup already you can get your foot in the door for like $60 with the smaller 6-8" baits. Hogsticker Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 The 3/8 ounce yo Zuri rattling vibe and 3d vibe in the color patterns I like Quote
NCBassAssassin Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 For many anglers, this may sound ridiculous. But the mattlures ultimate bluegill because it's too expensive. It would definitely be worth it, I have used one, but too expensive. Quote
Super User Scott F Posted July 12, 2014 Super User Posted July 12, 2014 If you guys want big glide baits or swim baits but don't want to pay $60, you should be checking out musky lures from places like The Musky Shop. 1 Quote
Megastink Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 The old FLW Worms sold in the free bags at Walmart about 15 years ago. I loves their 7" curl tail. Also the Bomber Balsa B. One of the toughest square bills to hang up. I have around 20 of them. Quote
Flywatersmallie Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 2" Senkos. I use them fairly often in spring when the food is still small and they are great on a few local smallie rivers. I bought a ton on the GYCB website when they were closing them out but I am down to maybe 20 bags left and when they're gone, they're gone Quote
