Theangler1 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 I have been saving my money for a while and was thinking about buying a 7'4" heavy st croix rage equipped with a pflueger patriarch as I think they would look amazing together. I will be using it for top water, some smaller swimbaits, big worms, and big crankbaits. This will be my first 350$+ purchase and was wondering what you guys think about it. Thanks in advance! Quote

Super User Choporoz Posted July 10, 2014 Super User Posted July 10, 2014 The pflueger that I had broke within the first year Wow. Patriarch? Under warranty, though, correct? Did they make it right for you? If not a Patriarch, then what...and how does this help TA1? Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 There's nothing inherently wrong with the Patriarch. St Croix rods do fish on the heavy side though. You may want to consider a MH if not a med. Check lure weight ratings and think about the type of cover you fish to decide. Quote
