I already own 4 Powell rods but I'm looking to get a deep cranking stick, the Powell endurance glass/composite is the right action at 7'5 mod-hvy but I wasn't looking to spend 200$,the max was more in my price range but the biggest cranking stick they had was 7'0 med-hvy and it's glass/composite as well, the max series has a swimbait rod that's 7'6 mod-hvy and suggests crankbaits but it's not glass composite, which one would you pick? I would be throwing 8-20 ft divers on it and traps form time to time on shell bars. Thanks

I wouldn't get the swimbait rod unless you want to primarily cast swimbaits (with a side of cranks).

I have the max 703CB glass and it's beautiful. they stopped making the max glass 753 and 754 but you can find them used.  the endurance composite are awesome as well. you can't go wrong with any of them.  glass is def more dull but once you hook a fish they stay pinned the whole time. if ur a kind of person that likes to identify everything on the bottom of the lake then I'd get composite.

Check out the fish ranger out of Montevallo, AL. I'm pretty sure they have the Powell Endurance series for $150!

I have the 755 Powell Endurance and for cranking and it is great!!  Listen to the above comments, these rods can be found cheaper then $200.  As far as cranking with the 755, DT-16s are not an issue at all!  (Rapalas are my go to crankbait)  So, I am imagine the deeper ones are just fine with that rod.

Good luck!

Man im in the same boat kinda.. trying to find a (deep) cranking rod for 10xd and 30+.. I see you want one for a variety of cranks though I tried that with a 7 6 but it just dont handle th big plugs.. I will most likely use it for rattle traps... if I get another stick

Recently got the Endurance 724... maybe 725. Im not home dont remember off hand. Anyhow, got it for DT10s and 6XDs and it handles great. My first powell by the way. Its full composite with a mod-fast taper. It actually works great as a spook/trap rod as well. Grabbed it for $130 from Fish Ranger.
