hookset on 3 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Vincenzo, tell us what types of water bodies do you fish? Lakes, ponds, weedy, rocky, murky, clear. We need to know the types of forage that are in the lakes you frequent? Sunfish, perch, shad. I can recommend skirt colors based on that information. Thanks. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted July 9, 2014 Global Moderator Posted July 9, 2014 The Lazer Eyes are good for what you're paying for them. No elaborate color schemes, not the best hooks/paint/components, but they will catch fish and it doesn't hurt so bad when you lose one. I'd much rather spend my money on a bait with a better hook, skirt, and components but you certainly don't have to. Quote

The color of the water is a greenish color abt 6 in of visibility. Its a man made lake in Brooklyn, NY (prospect park lake) inside a park, so not the cleanest water, some trash, fallen trees, rocks, sandy and gravel bottom and along the perimeter there are tall tall bamboo looking weeds, not sure of their name. I have also seen large pods of really tiny black fish of abt 200-300 fish so im guessing they might be baby catfish, i have seen little kids catch a bluegill in the park and sunfish and also around this time last year i have seen the bass chasing fish and blowing up in a couple parts of the lake. Any recommendations on a trailer hooks size for a 3/8 oz spinner would help too, thank u! Quote
raoka Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 i typically use a 2/0 trailer hook and haven't had any issues on my spinnerbaits:) Quote

I really like the Laser Eye spinnerbait. Good hooks, skirts, and nice ball bearing swivels. Great value as are Academy's spinnerbait. Quote
