GADawgs Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 I was up at Lake Bomoseen in VT at the lake house and I got out in the kayak 4 of the 5 days. The water temp was around the mid 60's and we had the hurricane come through (winds sustained at 15-20 with 35mph gusts) the first 2 days we were here. I had a great time fishing primarily with a jig but lost some fish when they jumped (still trying to figure out the jig as I have never had a problem losing fish before like I did this week). I lost about 5 fish that way but still had a blast. I caught my first spinnerbait fish, my PB rock bass and my PB smally (3.25 lbs at 18.25"). Another first, that was not as fun, was breaking my first rod tip. All in all it was a great trip to recharge the batteries from the first 2 quarters this year. I hope everyone had a safe and fun 4th. Quote
Shanes7614 Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Sustained wind of 15-35 in Florida is called afternoon showers. Lol. Quote
GADawgs Posted July 13, 2014 Author Posted July 13, 2014 Congrats on the PB!! Thanks, I caught it on one of your jigs. One of many that trip! Quote
