bassnbornboy Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 I'm fishing a small few hundred acre lake that's muddy so I need to know which color to purchase. Does the top matter? Or is the belly the main issue here? Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted July 8, 2014 Super User Posted July 8, 2014 The top doesn't matter of course because the fish can't see it! I'd go with black. Quote
missouribigbass Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Guess I'm the odd duck but most of my succes comes with a white belly Quote

bassnbornboy Posted July 11, 2014 Author Posted July 11, 2014 Which colordo you guys think most closely replicates shad? Also, what colors are considered chrome? Quote
FrogFreak Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 When I use poppers in clear water I use a white or bone colored belly or a natural bluegill color scheme. Those are the two basic food groups where I fish. Bluegill/perch and minnows. We have leopard frogs and they have white bellies as well so the white ones cover that. Quote
Super User FishTank Posted July 12, 2014 Super User Posted July 12, 2014 Any thing with a dark belly. Quote
doyle8218 Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Guess I'm the odd duck but most of my succes comes with a white belly Me too. White when it is sunny, black when its overcast. Quote

Or is the belly the main issue here? I really like the coach dog color which is the one that looks like a zebra pattern with some orange on the bottom, the bottom is your most important thing to look at, the skirt as well. Quote
