I just noticed TW has these rods on sale.  Does anyone have any experience with these rods?  Im in the market for a rod and with the sale this rod fits into my budget.

They were great rods even at the $230 price point. At the sale price, they're a steal of a rod. Very well built with great components. The blanks do fish powerfully though. The medium is equal to most other medium heavy, the medium heavy is a monster.

I thought about trying one, but my wife says, "don't you already have a zillion rods"?

Are they sensitive?  Im going to be using it for Trigs and Jigs if I end up getting one.

They're plenty sensitive. They compare favorably against just about any rod in the $250 price range.

IMHO the Tatula rods are just about as good, but at a much better price.

They don't have a 7'mh fast in the tatula line up

There's a 7'1"MH. Is that extra 1" a deal breaker?

Im pretty sure it has an extra fast tip instead of just a fast tip.

The 7' MH/F is my jig rod and I love it. I hated fishing jigs, mostly because I never caught crap, until I started throwing them on the Zillion rod. In my hands this rod just feels right.

If you're interested, I have a 6'9" MH/XF Zillion rod I'm trying to get rid of. PM me if you're interested. It's a great "feel" rod.

F and XF are available.

The 7'1 tatula in MH has an XF action. It is very stiff and very fast! Good for certain things, but not very versatile.

TAT711MHRB is the MH/F

I'm going to politely 'jack this thread so we don't have two Zillion rod threads on the page.  :Viking:

Does anyone have experience with the 7'4" XHF Swimbait rod compared to the 7' XHF not-Swimbait rod? I was looking at the 7'4" for Punkers and Mattlures but the 7' would fit in my car sooo much better. Also a bonus if I could frog with it.

I ended up purchasing the 7'mh/f, should be here tomorrow :)

Bought 2 as soon as they went on sale

Which ones? I'd be interested in hearing your opinion of them....even if they are 7' :)

I don't even know if I should answer this lol. I've been doing a lot of reservoir fishing here and since it all has to be done from a rowboat, shorter rods are a necessity. I've previously owned some zillion rods and found them to be lightweight, sensitive, and comfortable to use. I ended up getting the 6'9mh and 7m. I plan to use the medium with 12lb shooter for flukes, finesse jigs and and some all purpose stuff. The 6'9 is actually powerful enough to fish some heavier jigs, Texas rigs and even open water booyah pad crashers with 30lb braid.

I will say that they are more powerful than their rating which had been stated before. In certain instances I prefer this as they are light and extremely powerful. Although the handles are thinner ala the 13 omens (which I did not like), the octopus reel seat actually makes this not an issue as I can hold the reel with a very open palm. Sensitivity wise, they are equal to the champion line IMO.

You get a pass on this one  .

I should say I'm specifically looking for a weightless Trig'd senko rod. While the DX743(had to) makes a great senko rod, more often than not, it has a rage rig of some sort tied on or a 1/8oz trig. Obviously I could just retie but what kind of angler would I be if I didn't just buy a different set up instead. I've never tried Daiwa rods and the zillion's seem to have a good rep. What is this octopus reel seat you speak of? Specifically, how does it compare to the Doybns ECS reel seats? I love ECS. I hate hate hate SK2 style seats. Let me know your thoughts on the 7'M or how it compares to a Dobyns 3 power.
