Well I had to bank fish for a bit because my trolling motor fell apart so I saved up 250$ to get a new one and bought a Minn kota.

Haven't even had it for awhile and it ethier fell off on the highway or got stolen. Like seriously I could run through a brick wall right now.

Dude I'm seriously sorry man! If someone stole it I hope they catch dinks for life.

I feel your pain!!! About a month ago I flipped my boat, was about 50 yards off shore. Lost everything, fishing rods, bait, motor, Battery. Only thing i could save was the boat and Me. But d**n I've been having fun watching the UPS and FED EX trucks pull up to the house every other day. LOL

Lol well I'm going fishing still tomorrow! I guess I'm gonna go out in the thick pads and grass and just paddle and drift! Haha I can use my papas boat but at the moment it needs something fixed on it ( go figure )

Turning Lemons into Lemonade is what lifes all about. You'll probably catch Your PB paddling around in the Pads and Grass. Good Luck!!!

Any chance insurance will cover any of it?  My boat is an old beater, but I carry a modest policy, in case something happens.  My boat ain't worth much, but I do have a newer trolling motor and fish finder on it - not to mention all of my tackle.

this may sound dumb, but did you retrace your path?  if it fell off, I would darn sure try to find it.

Not being preachy, but doing things half @$$ makes you look like a whole @$$.

Keep your head up.

Yeah I traced my path and it was "gone like donkey kong"

A really old fellow named cotton was loading his boat up as we were pulling out so he may have grabbed it if he saw it, he is at the lake everyday so if I run into I'll ask if he has it by any chance...

And if it was half @ss put on I didn't know... I thought it was on there really good

Keep your spirits up . I would check the local garage sales or estate sales near you ti see if you can pick up a used one in good shape for a bargain. Check out craigslist also.

I never did think I need it, but one of the lakes I fish is a reclaimed gravel pit.  The banks are steep and the bottom is a long way down.  Lose anything there and it's not coming back.  Plus, I had a couple close calls with power boaters that made me think it was only a matter of time before I get swamped by some idiot with more horsepower than brain cells...

I'd also be watching these to see if the thief tries to sell it....any chance you have an ID number or something that would prove it was yours (I don't have a troller, wouldn't know offhand)

Remember in the good ol days I used to have to sit in the front of a wooden row boat to bass fish as the back end was out.  It was a challenge but the good thing is no one else ever used it at the pond!!!  Also used to take turns paddling from the front of boats we rented at the  coast....we sure had strong arms and shoulders for a few years. (LOL)

P.S.  Sorry about your loss

Sorry to hear about your bad luck.  On the bright side, you do still have a boat to fish out of and all of your tackle.  Someone had mentioned craigslist earlier;  in my area craigslist has not had too many lately, however, the local pawn shops always seem to have one or two in the store.
