What are your opinions (if any) of Xcalibur crankbaits. I bought some on sale at our new Cabela's and have seen them at Wal-Mart but have never actually used them, nor have I heard much about them. What say you Bass Resource forum members?

I only use Xcalibur lipless cranks, and only buy them when they are on sale. The XR50s and XRK50s are nice, but IMO Red Eye Shad are superior fish catchers. xcalibur's oxbow color is a winner though. Wish SK would make a Red Eye in that.

They are very good cranks, I use the 100 and 200

Never had a bad one ever, they catch fish as good as a RC lucky craft in my opinion.... Only have a few colors but they work great. I don't think you can go wrong.

I get most of mine from Cabelas like the op does when they are on sale. They just aren't worth the price compared to a RES. You just can't beat the shimmy on the fall that the RES has.

The XCS is my favorite of the cheaper sq bills.  I'll take it over the KVD every time.  I like the lipless baits a lot too.

I like the fact that they are fatter than most and in the summer time, I'm looking for the wide wobble of a fat bodied crank.  The craw patterns have really produced along the rip-rap for me.

The XR50 and XRK50 are the best lipless baits on the market IMO. I love the EEratic shad jerkbait too. Wasn't real impressed with the squarebills but they did catch fish for me.

I like them. Especially the lipless one knockers.

Absolutely love their baits! Their lipless crankbaits produce great for me (better than the Red Eye Shad) and I think they have one of the best squarebills on the market. I also picked up a few of the EEratic Shad jerkbaits earlier this year and have been fairly pleased with them.

I like them. Especially the lipless one knockers.

Same here, I like the bigger 3/4 and 1 oz size as they are louder. Slow rolling the 1 oz in app 10' - 15' of water is an effective alternative to lipped crankbaits. The knocker seems to be at it's best in the summer based on my experience .

I like their XR50 lipless cracks. My favorite color is silver blue. I had a great success with it for bass, pike and walleye.

Along with rapalas.... Love the X !

The one knockers are money. Their squarebills have more flash than the strike king version so I tend to use them when there is more sun and clearer water.
