I just ordered my first bottle of jj's magic and I've done a lot of reading and know all about the horror stories of it dripping and staining and stinking. But I keep reading it melts certain baits? Anyone have any experience with this actually happening? I bought the clear just because I wanted the scent only for dipping jigs and plastics in

I bought a jar of the clear a few months back, and I feel that it sometimes makes the fish hold on to the bait a tad bit longer. I fish from the bank, so I dont have to worry about it spilling on a boat. Its def. potent, and I could see it being a problem if spilling a decent amount. I dont see a drop here and there hurting anything. It only melts elaz tech baits to my knowledge though.

Be careful with the Z-Man soft plastics too as they are close to the Strike King elaztech worms I believe .

If using the clear on normal soft plastics (like Zoom) - use a QTip and just dab around the head of the worm .

For the JJ's chartreause - I just apply to the last 1/8 inch or so of the worms tail .

Yes, dunk the entire thing in the clear JJ's. Just don't let it get too hot or it will leak.

Yup this is the only baits it'll dissolve I think

I've heard the strike king Elaztech worms dissolve.

If these are the "Zero" worms with Greg Hackney on the package, then YES!  This is my go-to senko.  Dipped one in JJ's this spring and it dissolved almost immediately… should have known though, they are very vulnerable.
