I'm fishing my first summer tournament this weekend and I'm excited, anybody got some tips for me?

How do you guys manage a live well during the summer?

I've never had a tourney fish die but I've also never had a summer tourney....

First off, make sure the livewell is clean and pumps are working. 20:1 water bleach mix to clean. Circulate it thru the pumps and rinse, fill and drain thoroughly. There's a couple things you can do during the day. I keep my aerator on auto and recirc on constant throughout the day. If I have to sit before weighing in, I will put some Catch and Release in the well, and maybe some hydrogen peroxide. 1oz per 3 gallons is what's recommended. Some guys keep frozen 1 liter water bottles in the cooler and add as needed keeping the pumps on recirc all day but not adding new water.

Good Luck

Well I just figured out my aerator isn't even working so I took it out, guess I gotta grab another before the tournament. Fishing a tournament without an aerator would be dumb wouldn't it?
