Okay, folks, I'm new to hunting with a crossbow and mechanical broadheads. my question is: ...........is there any difference between broadheads for crossbows and conventional compounds? I read on this forum about the G3 heads. They seem to be  popular with quite a few fellas here. Thanks for your input.

Yes, I think they make special mech heads for crossbows, because bolts launch harder and fly faster than arrows out of a compound bow. If you run standard mech broadheads, you run the risk of having the BH open on release or in flight. Make sure the manufacturer says their head is ok for use on an xbow.
