This really kind of sucks and rained on my parade. I've been fishing from the bank for 20 years (and I'm only 26 years old) and I finally got myself a nice little house (renting, but better then my past apartments) that has a 2 car garage. I also have finally saved up enough money (around $7500) to buy myself a boat! I've been looking at older Nitros, Rangers, Skeeters, Tritons etc. Just haven't quite found the perfect one yet, but I'm in no rush. My problem is I had never really considered storage WIDTH. I knew I had 22ft of garage depth, so for a 16,17 or even 18ft boat I was in the clear, especially with folding tongue. But now that I'm getting closer to buying I noticed most storage widths on trailer are nearly 100''. I only have 94'' wide garage. So I would maybe get away with 92'' on trailer width.  Is there any nice boats that have such a narrow trailered width at the beam? Ugh...as lame as it is, I hate my entire house now due to this LOL!

P.S. Due to city guidelines I can not store a boat in my drive way....I know...yuppie rules. And storage units in my area for the length/width I would need are running around $170/mo, so....yeah.

I know most john boats are narrower than a bass boat, so those might fit. That said, I have a bass boat and would suggest one over a john boat. I can measure the storage width of my '07 triton tr186 this evening. I store it in a two car garage and there is still room for a car in the garage when the boat is there.

Good luck!

Look at Tin boats. The max width I can measure (side guide on) is right at 90"

I got a 06 Lowe Stinger 170

I finally decided to eat the cost on storage for mine. Roughly 150 per month. Sucks, but it is what it is. I've got a nice sized two car garage. Catch is, it's got two doors instead of one large door. Even with my small glass boat, it ain't getting inside of either of those 8' wide doors. Sounds like you've got a similar situation as I do if you're dealing with 94" of space.

Either go tin, or eat the storage price.

the Tracker alum bass boats are much more narrow than the spacce you have. I cant remember the exact width of the trailer, but my 185 fits in my narrow side yard.

I'm guessing you need to look at smaller boats.  Measure a lot before you buy.  When you are measuring length, measure from the tip of the prop, (when it is on the trailer with the transom saver in position) to the tip of the hitch.  Also, what neighborhood do you live in?  I'm on the outskirts of the Metro area and $170 a month seems high to me.

I have the Tracker PT 170 TX and my trailer width with the roller guide-ons and back-up lights is 95" .

I recently got a warning for mine in the driveway a couple weeks ago.  It is only in the driveway when I am going often and put into storage when I am not.  Been that way for 5 years and now the warning. :cry4:

I would get a jon boat and convert it to a bass boat.

Don't forget the trailer tires may stick out past the width of the boat.

And move somewhere where you can put your boat. lol

My yard at my rental is enormous but the landlord wont let the boat stay. I keep mine at moms house. Been looking for a house to buy for two years now, nothing in my price meets the criteria.

I have 5 acres to park one on when I get one! I'll never live inside city limits again! :eyebrows:

I have a 95 Skeeter that is 84 inches at the trailer tires (widest point). Its 17 ft and does the job for me. There are definitely options out there and even a few glass options within your required measurements. The hardest part is going to be finding those options in the used market. If you are thinking Skeeter, Nitro, Triton, etc. I wouldnt rule out the multi species models. A lot of them are within your size requirements and they work just about as well as any bass boat.

It isn't so bad to mow, it's the d**n weed eating! LOL  My parents share the acreage with me.  Dad and I tag team it once a week.  Being 75, I stick him on the ZTR and I do the weed eating.
