OntarioFishingGuy Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Was out fishing a deep weedbed with a lipless crank in a rental boat. Didn't have a trolling motor and was marking schooling fish suspended above the weeds. Dropped the anchor to stay on the spot, and after we were done fishing the school (caught 2 small walleyes) I lifted our anchor, only to find this hooked on to the anchor line! Quote
OntarioFishingGuy Posted July 1, 2014 Author Posted July 1, 2014 Sorry pic was too big to upload, but it was an old lure about 4" long shaped and painted exactly like a musky. Pretty cool... Quote
Super User Raul Posted July 1, 2014 Super User Posted July 1, 2014 Reduce the size/ density of the pic and post it. Quote
Super User Maxximus Redneckus Posted July 1, 2014 Super User Posted July 1, 2014 I see it .its a invisible banjo minnow that was on a chartruse helicopter bait Quote

Kevin22 Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Hasnt been down there too long, the split rings aren't even rusted. Maybe a month or two at most. Looks like someone's hand carve, cool lure. Someone was probably upset losing that one! Quote
Super User Maxximus Redneckus Posted July 2, 2014 Super User Posted July 2, 2014 Stainless steel wont rust looks like a.salmo or creek chub pikie Quote
Super User Maxximus Redneckus Posted July 2, 2014 Super User Posted July 2, 2014 Depends on the grade i suppose..or how much contamination before processing .i have cheap split rings and high qaulity .i use cheap in fresh water with no probs and the better in saltwater for yrs with no rust.ive got a spook with high grade split rings thats outlasted the hooks i change each yr .and it stays in saltwater 6 months a yr .for the last 2 yrs Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted July 2, 2014 Global Moderator Posted July 2, 2014 Salmo? Lure company from Poland. They make a few baits that look like little pike/muskie. Quote
OntarioFishingGuy Posted July 2, 2014 Author Posted July 2, 2014 I think it was home made. The nose part was very inconsistent and It looked as though the person carving it had slipped with their knife. I don't think you can see that in the picture, but one side is rounded and one side is flat. Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted July 2, 2014 Super User Posted July 2, 2014 Nice find indeed! And yes, stainless will rust. I use to test Craftsman stainless tools. Stainless means just that, stain-less, not stain proof. Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted July 2, 2014 Super User Posted July 2, 2014 Lure company from Poland. They make a few baits that look like little pike/muskie. I did know that, I was questioning if it was a Salmo or not, but thanks for the info. Quote
