Hello everyone. I fish from the banks on small lakes using a spinning combo . I don't have much tackle and I haven't caught many bass. I am looking for some good lures/baits for bank fishing on small lakes with a spinning rod and reel. What are some good baits or lures for all year round for the type of fishing I do? I appreciate all of your input and opinions. Thank you.

Go to the store and buy some bullet sinkers that weigh anywhere from 1/16 - 1/4 and get some 2/0 straight shank worm hooks, then go to the worm section and buy some zoom trick worms, any colors should be fine.

Slide the bullet sinker on your line pointy end first then use your favorite fishing knot to Tie the hook on.

Then take the point of the hook and go through the tip of the worm and out its bottom and pull the hook through until you get to the little bend and flip it around and push it back into the worm making it weedless.

This is called a Texas rig and is very good for beginners and catches fish any time of year!

Get a 9cm rapala original floating minnow in a silver with black back color pattern. It costs 8-12$ depending on where you get it from, but It will always catch bass. If you need to get it deeper or cast it further, buy some split shot weights and put one or two about 6-8" up the line.
