Berkley Big Game the real Mean Green! ;)

All 27 of my double digit bass were caught on 15# Big Game!

Excellent.  I love hearing stuff like this.

So you mean to tell us you actually caught DD bass on Green MONO ?

How can this be ?

Couldn't they see your line ?

That's just crazy -

You should switch to fluorocarbon line right away . . .

Mono for topwaters and treble hook baits.

Flouro for everything else.

Braid for topwaters and heavy vegetation.

McCoy Mean Green

Over the years, I've used a lot of different brands of mono and this one is by far the best.  It combines low visibility, abrasion resistance, limpness and lower stretch compared to other lines of equal strength.

I haven't been fishing a lot of mono lately, but my experiences with flouro have left a really bad taste in my mouth.  I've been switching back to mono on the reeels I've had spooled with flouro and McCoy gets the nod for under 10lb. test.

I use 2# test Trilene XL on a few of my UL rigs for panfishing. And I use 25# test TripleFish mono on my swimbait/bucktail rod for pike. The only other use of it comes in with leaders on braid when I'm fishing topwaters. In this case, it floats and acts as a fine shock absorber, lessening the chances that I will tear out the hooks on the hookset.

I will never by Stren 10lb mono ever again. Haven't spooled the Trilene XL I have yet but going to try that 12lb instead.
