Hello could use some advise on rod turners/dryers. I have been making custom rods for little over 3 years and still don't own my own turner. I am wondering if any of you all have made your own. i have taught serval classes on rod making and the turner needs to be able to turn multiple rods. i have some idea as to how to go about starting but if any of you have any "make sure you do..." or "don't ever do..." that is the kind of stuff i am looking for. Would love any help. thanks ike

A few questions....

1) Are you looking to build a Drum Style Rod Dryer? or a Rod Wrapping Lathe?

2) Are you familiar with the rod building forum site called "Rodbuilding.org"

I have been building for 15+ years now and I would recommend that you visit, register and post your question there, that is were most of the rod builders including myself go for the real precise info needed to build.

Try it you'll be surprised as to all the info you get there.....

Hope this gets you the info you need... :)

Tight Wraps!   :)
