Super User Catt Posted June 29, 2014 Super User Posted June 29, 2014 Two lures I can honestly say I've never caught a single bass on! Full size Zoom Brush Hog, I absolutely kill em on the Baby! Chatterbaits, love the concept, action, viberation, got several originals...not a single bass! Y'all got any that simply aint caught! 1 Quote
MIbassin Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Chatter bait and buzz bait. I haven't even had a strike! Quote

Super User Sam Posted June 29, 2014 Super User Posted June 29, 2014 Brush Hogs - Work on Buggs Island (Kerr) when the water is "in the bushes." Chatterbaits - Work in tidal rivers in Virginia. Do not usually throw any brush hogs on the tidal rivers. Do not usually throw any Chatterbaits on lakes and reservoirs. Strange, but true. Quote
doyle8218 Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Never caught anything or even a bite on a Hula Popper. 1 Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted June 29, 2014 Super User Posted June 29, 2014 A-rig Same, caught some speckled perch on it, but I don't think I've caught any bass with it. Quote
Megastink Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Same, caught some speckled perch on it, but I don't think I've caught any bass with it. Same here. It's a niche bait on shad lakes, but my lakes are bluegill forage. They don't school like shad. 1 Quote
PondHopper96 Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 The only fish I've got on a chatterbait is a drum! Buzz bait has not gotten hit once either! Quote
Fish Murderer 71 Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 A-rig has yet to produce... My chatter bait is most effective at night in shallow waters, although it doesn't catch a lot of fish. Quote
Super User WRB Posted June 29, 2014 Super User Posted June 29, 2014 AC plug, lots of fruitless hours of casting the dam thing. Chatter baits, until I learned to use a 5" paddletail swimbait as a trailer! Tom 1 Quote
Jon G Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Jerk Baits Ive tried and tried for hours and hours but cant catch anything with them Quote
Super User Jeff H Posted June 29, 2014 Super User Posted June 29, 2014 The Bill Dance Dancin' Eel or whatever he called it. That's an old one but I never caught a d**n thing on it....ever. Quote
FrogTosser88 Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 This is gonna freak everyone out, but..... A SENKO!! 3 Quote
hoosierbass07 Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Soft creature baits! I caught 99% of the bass on worms and lizards. But when I try to throw soft creature baits - nothing. Quote
RAMBLER Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Any one of the four different models of red square bill crankbaits, that are in my tacklebox. Quote
Fish Murderer 71 Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 This is gonna freak everyone out, but..... A SENKO!! 10,000 comedians out of work and your trying to be funny? JK. Keep at it brother! Once you figure it out, it'll be hard not to use it! Quote
FrogTosser88 Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 10,000 comedians out of work and your trying to be funny? JK. Keep at it brother! Once you figure it out, it'll be hard not to use it! I have actually decided to ONLY fish senkos until they start working for me.. I did this with flukes and it has made me a descent fluker..... So I got 4 colors and sizes... even the swimmin senko.... Global Moderator Mike L Posted June 30, 2014 Global Moderator Posted June 30, 2014 My PB was on the regular sized brush hog! It's one my top 5 plastics Im really surprised some of you guys struggle with it. Anyway I struggle with any type or size of a Spro frog. I gave all of mine away a while back, I just dont have much confidence in them, and just use the Koppers and Scum. Go figure Mike Quote
Super User Munkin Posted June 30, 2014 Super User Posted June 30, 2014 Chatterbait but I think it is just a matter of right place/right time. The full size brush hogs work at times but the baby ones work so much better. Allen Quote
Super User FishTank Posted June 30, 2014 Super User Posted June 30, 2014 I have caught a few fish on the chatter baits but it sort of worked it's way out my rotation of lures. One thing I have no faith in is the "blood" or "bleeding" concepts. Red hooks and blood spots on baits have done nothing for me. Quote
TrippyJai Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 I have never caught a fish on a buzzbait. Haven't lost confidence in it though, I still throw it. I have not caught a fish on a hollow belly swimbait either. Quote
