In the market for a new frog rod and was wondering if the Tatula 7'2" Heavy would be fine for frogging. I know they have one made for frogging but thats $20 more. Thoughts?

I prefer a 7'3" or shorter myself. Better for skipping.

It will be fine. I use rods at all lengths for frogs. What matters is the cover you are fishing. Heaviest stuff is a longer heavier rod. You can throw frogs on a medium heavy is the weeds aren't thick.

You'll be good to go. Buy it and go catch some nice fish.
