pbrussell Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 It's looking like I actually will be able to make it to the meeting at johnny's thursday. If johnny's in, we should ask him to fish the event with us. He's quite the stick from what I hear. Quote

If johnny's in, we should ask him to fish the event with us. He's quite the stick from what I hear. He's actually the first person to send me pictures of fish he'd caught on my bladed jigs, almost a 30lb bag with 5 fish His biggest was a little over 8. Figured it was probably in good taste to go to a venue owned by a fisherman I wouldn't be at all surprised if he'd fish it with us either if he's there. Quote
Brian6428 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Let me know what you guys decide. I can't justify driving to Johnny's tomorrow night as there is a good chance I won't be able to make the fall meet up, because I don't know my fall schedule yet. How late can I decide to go to the meet up? I would just be driving and not staying the night. Quote

If that's the case you could show up at the ramp morning of and I don't think anyone would have a problem with it. Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted July 26, 2014 Global Moderator Posted July 26, 2014 For those that weren't at Johnny's that want to know the details, the fall get together will be at Perry on October 11/12 with a back up lake of Cedar Creek Valley in Garnett if it's supposed to be windy or bad weather. Teams just like normal, you can fish one day or both days. We also discussed starting some weekly tournaments and everyone was in favor of those. Going to start August 7th at Douglas State Lake in Baldwin City. Teams again, 3 biggest fish per team. Going to alternate Thursday nights and Saturday morning each week. If you want more details send me a PM. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted September 8, 2014 Global Moderator Posted September 8, 2014 Now that we're getting closer to the actual date, who is still planning on fishing this get together? Quote
Mr_Scrogg Posted September 8, 2014 Author Posted September 8, 2014 Ill know in a week. Wife went to another shift. And will switch again this Thursday. Quote
sizzlefry Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Now that we're getting closer to the actual date, who is still planning on fishing this get together? planning on it. usual deal if Chris s. can if not I need a backseat. im beginning to think Chris S doesn't like us anymore Quote
Mr_Scrogg Posted September 9, 2014 Author Posted September 9, 2014 Im a go. Me and my boy, Xander are ready to lay the smack down! Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted September 9, 2014 Global Moderator Posted September 9, 2014 Has anyone that is planning on going made reservations for anywhere around Perry? I'm asking because I'm seriously considering a change in venue. Perry has been a tough customer this year from all reports. If we're willing to drive a little further I think that Wilson County State Lake would be a blast for everyone and maybe someone will screw up and catch a new state record spotted bass Scrogg and I had no problems catching well over 50 fish with lots of them over 2 pounds up to 4 pounds and I'm sure there's bigger fish in there and there was a good mix of spots and largemouth. Just something to toss out there. I'll fish Perry if that's where everyone wants to go, but I think one guy could catch more bass in 1 day at Wilson than everyone might catch in 2 days at Perry. Doc-Drew Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I'm okay what... if I can make it. Is there camping there? Quote
Mr_Scrogg Posted September 9, 2014 Author Posted September 9, 2014 There is campgrounds, and a hotel in Chanute thats like 50/night for 2 doubles I think Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted September 9, 2014 Global Moderator Posted September 9, 2014 I'm okay what... if I can make it. Is there camping there? There's camping but no electric hookups. I'd be more than willing to take anyone's batteries with me to the hotel to charge if they have a charger that isn't attached to the boat. Quote
Doc-Drew Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 What hotel is that? I have a feeling if I am able to make it, my wife will want to stay in a hotel rather than camp. Quote

Chris S Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I am game but the weekend of the Oct 18th I have plans. I also have a Texas trip in Oct just not sure of the date yet. Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted September 10, 2014 Super User Posted September 10, 2014 if we can get this finalized we should stay at the same hotel if possible no skinny dipping Curtis I'll be skinny dipping in the gulf that weekend. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted September 11, 2014 Global Moderator Posted September 11, 2014 if we can get this finalized we should stay at the same hotel if possible no skinny dipping Curtis Dates are finalized, October 11th and 12th. I just wanted to make sure that if we moved it to a different lake it wasn't going to screw someone who had already reserved a hotel or cabin for Perry. Quote
Chris S Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 if we can get this finalized we should stay at the same hotel you handle the details I will bring the boat Quote
Arv Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 What are the chances a non-boater from Bolivar, Missouri could get in on some of this? Quote
Mr_Scrogg Posted September 14, 2014 Author Posted September 14, 2014 There should be a back seat open somewhere Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted September 15, 2014 Global Moderator Posted September 15, 2014 What are the chances a non-boater from Bolivar, Missouri could get in on some of this? I believe right now we have 2 boaters without a nonboater if they both can make it so I can keep you posted if you want to try to make it. Quote
