Easy now, I've got some drum honey holes on Perry that you could probably get a bite every cast all day long if drum was all you wanted to catch.

How would the 11th and 12th of October look for everyone? The cabins at Perry are $45 a night that time of year and say they sleep up to 4 people each. $20 to sleep inside for the weekend wouldn't be bad at all.

I just have to make sure my thunder buddy Chris is going to be there in case it storms  :eyebrows:

we could do this all month. you need to pick a place and if they can make it great if not oh well. there is plenty of time to schedule days off. make it a 2 day and those that can do it will and those who can do one great. anything within 2 hour drive should be acceptable. just my thoughts you cant please everyone. I also would pm the new members and explain what we do so they feel invited we have like 6 new guys yeahhhh.

I think we should meet for dinner some where. Maybe Olathe, have another meet and greet.

Well at least this way the guys that have stuff planned already can let me know and the guys that don't have anything planned can try to make it work.

For any of the new guys on here that may feel like they're on the outside looking in or that they haven't been on here long enough to be welcome, this is for anyone who wants to attend, whether you have 1 post or 10,000. If you have any questions about how it all works just send me a PM and I'll be more than happy to answer any of your questions.

That's fine if everyone wants to do that again. Maybe somewhere not so crowded this time?  :eyebrows:

It's true but Who would want to go there? ;)

The resturant at BPS has a private room and it's never busy?

I've seen it, it's about 1/4 mile from my mother in laws house right off 75th street. Nicole was working there when we started dating and it was still called Kites. It's been 3-4 different things since Kites closed down though.

You still have to pay for the banquet room though.

I'm open to anywhere but I really don't want to have to rent a room to eat.

There's a really good Mexican place in Gardner that would work well or Jalapeno's off 151st and 69 highway that usually isn't too busy. Johnny's BBQ in Olathe would probably work pretty well, plus the owner is an avid fisherman  :eyebrows:

Not sure La Carreta would be quite big enough of a place. Johnny's sounds good!!

Johnny's sounds good. How does some time next week sound? That should be enough notice for most everyone. Blue why don't you choose an evening, you seem to have an odd schedule, from what I reed on here.

I see the thread for the strip pits and this one.  Are there going to be two events?  I may try to make it out to Kansas and see you guys if this works with my schedule, though the pits on October 4th probably won't work for me.  I'll be at Table Rock September 1st - 6th and September 29th - October 5th.

It looks that way. Chris (kanasbassfisher08) is planning a separate one for anyone that wants to fish one at the strip pits. The main one is probably going to be at Perry Lake in September or October. You're more than welcome to join us, it's always a blast even if the fishing isn't always great.

I plan on attending both and the dinner I tried to put the Pitt get together far enough out that it wouldn't conflict with guys who want to do both but as long as they aren't on the same weekend I'm good with any date wink wink

If we want to do Perry and if anyone is interested in the cabins we'll have to get a move on with reserving them, the weekends before and after the 11th and 12th are already taken! They're $55 a night and say they sleep up to 4 people? Looked really nice when we drove by them Thursday and they're within sight of the state park ramp.

We stayed at one of the cabins during duck season a few years ago and we really liked it. The cabin we got was pretty small so I assume it was only a 2 person, but it was very comfortable and the scenery looking over the lake was pretty cool!

They all have 2 beds but say they sleep up to 4. I have an air mattress I can sleep on if I needed to.

I won't be able to make the meeting at Johnny's. Thursdays are my late nights. Let me know what you guys decide though. One thing to consider for the "weigh-ins," is the outing going to be a two day combined, two individual days or best 5 from either day? Just trying to see if it's possible for the one-dayers to compete.

Doubtful I can make Johnny's, but I will try.

October 11-12 works for me.

If it's one of the "closer" lakes I could probably tow my boat both days.

The bedroom has a full size if I remember correctly, and the other bed is a hide-a-bed that would only fit one person. So that would be a little tight for more than two people.

Cabin I stayed in at Wilson had a fullsize, pulldown hideaway, and a futon. Throw in a airbed and could get 4

Heck I don't need an air mattress, I can sleep on the floor in a sleeping bag for all I care. I have a cot I could sleep on also but if you can find room for it my air mattress is a queen size so 2 people can sleep on it without having to get too friendly  :eyebrows:

Heres a video of the Cottonwood Cabin at Perry to get an idea of space.  www.youtube.com/watch?v=HaVpOF9BwqQ

Ive stayed there with couples on the bed and futon and three people in sleeping bags (upper area).

Three of the four cabins are all the same with the exception of the handicap one does not have the upper area .
