FirstnameLastname Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 I've always used worms or grub type plastics. Do creature baits actually work? If so how do you use it. Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted June 27, 2014 Super User Posted June 27, 2014 HulaGrubs, Brush Hogs and Incredi-craws are all awesome creature baits. You can T-rig them, C-rig, or any other way you can think of and they will catch fish. Also good as jig trailers. Quote
Super User tcbass Posted June 27, 2014 Super User Posted June 27, 2014 Just used Zoom Super Chunks and Strike King Rodents on my swim jig today and caught 5 good bass. Quote
David D. Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Do they actually work? Yes, and quite well if the fish are hungry. How do you use them? T-rig weighted, weightless, as a jig trailer, Rage rigged.... Pretty much anything as long as it involves the plastic and a hook through it. Quote
Super User Raul Posted June 27, 2014 Super User Posted June 27, 2014 If they didn't work they wouldn't be made anymore. Just rig them the way you rig your worms and grubs. 2 Quote
Dyerbassman Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Get some Berkley Havoc Pit Boss. Inexpensive and very effective. I T-rig them as one of my go to lures. Quote
Super User gulfcaptain Posted June 27, 2014 Super User Posted June 27, 2014 Creature baits also work better in weedy areas as they don't hang up as much and are a bit more compact but still have a big profile to them. Quote
TNBassin' Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Anyone ever use the Damiki Hydra Evolution baits? They look like twin tail Hula grubs but they have these little balls towards the top of the bait. I've always meant to try them, just never got around too it. Quote
