I am just getting into bass fishing and would love to know some decent bank fishing spot around here. I do have access to a boat, but it's not something I want to rely on. I will eventually, but I just bank fish for now. I live in Middleton and have been going to Duff for practice (about 3 minutes from my house) rather than in our yard. Any good spots that aren't 2 hours out?

I haven't found in good ones in the boise area I've been to all the ones posted on Craigslist. There are many new pounds that have been built that are not posted

But alot of them are young so they don't hold a monster bass and that's what I'm after I haven't tried any ponds in nampa Emmett surrounding area but there got to b a good one somewhere around hear but I keep getting told lake Lowell but I do catch bass bass in these pones just not the size and numbers I would like

Most of the public waters hold some decent bass just have to put in the time.

Caldwell ponds still might produce something. I've seen some pretty decent size come out of Duff's. Sad thing is that they went home with the fishermen.

I have spent a fair amount of time trying to catch bass in the boise area ponds without great results. Granted, it has been mostly during winter months. I would suggest bank fishing around swan falls dam, CJ Strike, or Owyhee- all are around an hour from boise. Lots more and bigger fish in my opinion
