Snakehead Whisperer Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Don't have a pic of my pb, but this is my best of this year (and not much smaller than my pb.) This Potomac River smallmouth weighed in at 5lb8oz. 2 Quote
conorsixtakc Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 This is the 7.40 last week. I will dig up the 9.8 pic. We get lots of 5-6 s daily. 5lb fish on Lake Simcoe is quite common. I can't be the only one still waiting to see a photo of this 9.8... 4 Quote
FunkJishing Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 my best was a 4 pound smallmouth on a chartreuse bomber model "A" crank bait. 3 weeks ago actually lol. Quote
Super User retiredbosn Posted October 11, 2014 Super User Posted October 11, 2014 I can't believe i can actually join this discussion finally! 20 yrs ago....I caught one around 5lbs out of the Greenbriar river in WVA. I had no proof other than my brother who was there. Well. .... finally. ....after 20yrs of missing my family reunion- I made it up there last week and on the final day of my liscence, I caught this guy on a watermelon/chart roboworm t-rigged on a 1/8oz lead. I'm not 100% sure on the size- but rough estimate is 18-19 inches and pushing 4lbs maybe? I'm so ridiculously happy I finally have a pic of me and a smallie! Looks like the bridge at Caldwell, the river is nasty low now. Nice to see another fisherman who knows the secret of the Greenbrier. Quote

Mainebass1984 Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Oh yeah that's a huge smallie. I bet it was caught on a live leech in 200 ft of water with 4 lb test.... Or.. Maybe its a 6 inch young of the year held so close to the camera it looks bigger ? 2 Quote
