dsidle61 Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Have you got out yet? Any luck if you did? Yes I have.....finally! Ive been fishing parkers lake from the dock bc its about a 30 second drive for me so that's where my evening trips are. Ive caught a few bass and pike so far, nothing to write home about. This past weekend I ventured over to Ann. Fishing was slowwwwww....except for 20 minutes of the evening. Ended up with 4 bass in 20 minutes and that was it. biggest went for 4lbs. All came on a pad crasher frog. Any luck for you lately. Quote

Gotta love that frog! 4 lbs is a nice fish. Good work! Last time I went out it was slow on the bass too. Caught few northerns that kept me busy. We'll good luck on your next adventure out. Quote
dsidle61 Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Where have you been fishing lately?? I made a stop out to lake ann out in howard lake. Bout an hour west outside the 494 beltway. Got 3 nice bass in about 2 hours. Two on a frog and 1 slow dragging a senko. Pike have been the slow one for me lately. Quote

Hit the Mississippi up once or twice afterwork, came up with few little smallies. Im headed out to a local lake today to see if I can find some hogs. Cool you got some nice bass. The frog came through for you. It seems to be a popular lake to bass fish down there. Quote
Kayakfisherman Posted September 22, 2014 Author Posted September 22, 2014 Such a beautiful fish for a beautiful fall day! Quote

KayakKid Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Hey is anyone interested in kayak modification? I have a little ten foot (roughly) sit in kayak that i pretty much decked out. It has a refurbished stern mount motor that needed a head replacement, and has been converted into a removable bow mounted trolling motor, a removable homemade rudder system, a kayak crate with Four PVC rod holders (two mounted for trolling), a rod holder with hook/pliers holder in the cockpit, a homemade anchor trolley, and last but not least a trailer that was made from a old garden trailer and can be pulled behind my bike. If anyone is interested I have pictures and I am willing to share advice and such. O and by the way i'm located in southern Wisconsin but this was the closest thing out there. Quote
Minnesota Kayak Bassn' Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Hey guys...I'm with the Minnesota Kayak Fishing Association as well. Without question I've found some of the best guys and gals and families I've ever fished with. Check us out if you're not part of the association yet. As for Minnesota Bass fishing...I live in Mankato and it's by far the best bass fishing I've ever had in my life...not even a close 2nd. This past year, with help from my Jack Russel "Tator" who sits right behind me, I was able to land 409 large mouth bass. And you wouldn't believe how many 4-6 pounder's I caught...roughly 50% or more were that size. I'm hosting a kayak bass tourney next June...about the 3rd week of June open to all members of the Minnesota Kayak Fishing Association. A group of kayak fishermen will come down before the tourney and pre fish it with me...(I'm not fishing the tourney...just hosting it)...and I expect it's going to take 60" of bass to win the tourney (longest 3 bass caught). If you're interested in joining or just interested in fishing give me a hollar and we can plan on hooking up next year for some incredible bass fishing. Quote
