1. Smaller popper thrown around cover early in the morning. Nothing better!

2. Frogs in the slop

3. T-rigged plastics

4. Spinnerbait

Favorite is texas/florida rigs, pitching or casting deep. I love the tap tap set then feeling the fish on line.

Spinnerbaits come a close second.

Frogs and finesse all the way.

If you see me throwing cranks it's not been a good day.   :wink2:

My favorite way to fish is good old live bait. But if I only have my lures I prefer top water.

Given my druthers, I like to pitch jigs.  So far this year, most of my keepers (15" or better) have happened on jika rigs, and a few on tx rigged weightless soft plastics.  Like I do every spring, I caught a couple offish in the 22" range throwing trap style baits over grass flats in 3' of water, a definite pre-spawn pattern.  Every year, late March to mid April, I get a couple of big fish doing that.

Mid-summer, full moon night, deep water structure, with Texas Rigs n Jigs!

Night or day this is probably my favorite way of fishing.

Flippin'/pitchin' jigs or beavers into the thickest nastiest cover available!

This is at the other end of the bass fishing continuum, but shallow water, heavy cover, short line, and big fish is hard to beat.

My favorite is a lipless crankbait in Febuary on Guntersville.  Close second would be a spinerbait bite.  The best strike is an ARIG.  Like a truck going the other way!

As my title says, SPINNERBAIT! I will fish it at almost any depth, speed, size, color, etc.

The way they are biting best I guess.....But if I had to chose would be smallies on a spinner bait because they about pull rod out of your hand

Love the top water action, but hate the % of lost fish/missed bites with top water.

By far my favorite is flipping/pitching/skipping a jig. Rocks, think nasty cover, willows, skipping under docks... Nothing in the world like it.

Another would be shaky head fishing docks/rocks.

Buzzbait with a worm tied up on a spinning rod to toss when one misses.....my other way recently has been bow fishing for carp now that is some fun lol

I started out spearing carp from a boat with 9' foot spears. Tons of fun. You can spear them close or throw rjr spear and get them. Tried bow fishing for carp. Got quite a few but didn't like it nearly as much. Went back to spearing.

For bass, topwater, no doubt.

Topwater for smallies with a skitter PROP or frogging for largemouth in the pads.
