kstring Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Favorite way to catch a fish is topwater of any kinda for obvious reasons. But my favorite way to fish based on results is T-riggin and flipping heavy cover. Quote
basscatcher8 Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Buzzbait with a worm tied up on a spinning rod to toss when one misses.....my other way recently has been bow fishing for carp now that is some fun lol 1 Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted June 22, 2014 Super User Posted June 22, 2014 Topwater. I love the blow ups of a topwater strike. 1 Quote
OroBass Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Bow fishing looks like fun! I do a lot of finesse fishing. 2 Quote
OntarioFishingGuy Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I love cranking and spinnerbait fishing. But my favourite type of fishing is fishing steelhead in small creeks. That is a blast! Quote
long island basser Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Mine is top water (hollow body frog) and flipping heavy cover. Quote
BuffaloBass716 Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Small T-Rigs usually yield the best results for me. Although lately topwater is pretty fun... Quote
WVbassin87 Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I've yet to catch a bass on a jig, but after catching my first topwater fish recently i gotta say that's my fav. Watching that explosion on the surface really gets the adrenaline going. Quote
Super User whitwolf Posted June 22, 2014 Super User Posted June 22, 2014 Flippin'/pitchin' jigs or beavers into the thickest nastiest cover available! Quote
Mumbly Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Definitely topwater. Spooks, poppers....you name it. Nothing like it. 1 Quote
Bruce424 Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Jig, spinnerbait, or squarebill crankbait around wood laydowns. Its more of a confidence thing. And its fun... Quote
Mr. BattleArmor Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Nothing like a good ole' top water strike! 2 Quote
Kayakfisherman Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I agree with everyone else. Topwater is the way to go! My favorite is pitching frogs Clip of pitching some frogs: Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted June 22, 2014 Super User Posted June 22, 2014 I can't pick one, I like what ever is working. I am just as comfortable punching mats in 2 feet of water, as I am drop shotting in 30 FOW, and everything in-between. 1 Quote
Super User everythingthatswims Posted June 23, 2014 Super User Posted June 23, 2014 #1:Froggin, #2:Squarebills, #3:Pitchin Jigs. I have caught so many fish on spooks and poppers that it's just like any other technique for me now, not really one of my preferred methods. Quote
Fish Murderer 71 Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Banging docks with chatterbaits, spinners, and jigs. T-rigs, wacky tricks n senkos. c-rigs and swimbaits. I dont have any natural lakes for day trips anywhere close here so everything is for fishing reservoirs. Water authority likes to kill all the grass around here, so fishing can get difficult for really big fish. Quote
Violinguy Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 My favorite is whatever is catching fish that particular day. I love the way bass pound crankbaits but I also love the challenge of detecting strikes on finesse plastics. Back in the day, spinnerbaits were my favorite, mainly because I caught so many fish with them. Right now it's plastics. I'm going to try fishing some jigs tomorrow which is something I haven't done in many many years. Maybe that'll be my new favorite.... 1 Quote
Paul s Posted June 23, 2014 Author Posted June 23, 2014 Nice! I love hearing from others about there favorite ways to fish because it probably isnt the same as myself, its just cool to hear from other people what they like doing or what they are confident in. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted June 23, 2014 Global Moderator Posted June 23, 2014 If I can pitch a jig all day, that's as good as it gets. Quote
Super User Catt Posted June 23, 2014 Super User Posted June 23, 2014 Mid-summer, full moon night, deep water structure, with Texas Rigs n Jigs! Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted June 23, 2014 Super User Posted June 23, 2014 Jig first, t-rigged plastic second. Quote
Super User Oregon Native Posted June 23, 2014 Super User Posted June 23, 2014 Jigs Topwater (spook) Quote
