Anyone Not Have Success Or Dramatically Less Success With A Certain Senko Color?

Senko color #297 is really the only color you need. (Green Pumpkin w blk flake)

I do really well on smoke with blue black and gold flake. I usually throw that or green pumpkin for fairly clear water and in murky water I'll throw something a bit darker, but I know of a couple places where I can get bit all day on a bubblegum or chartreuse senko. I agree with some other posts is that the biggest factor which makes a senko a successful bait is the action, not so much the color.

I've only used cinnamon brown and some blue one with black flakes (I think). I've had a lot of success with the cinnamon brown but only changed to the blue one today when I ran out of cinnamon brown ones. I caught 2 fish. So not enough experience to know. I want to buy some in bulk from Tackle Warehouse but see that they don't have cinnamon brown as an option. I'm in central Minnesota.

Anyone not have success or dramatically less success with any certain Senko color?

 

I fish the same water as you. I have all sorts of colors and have given most of them away to my little cousins. All I keep now is green pumpkin, black with blue flakes, and watermelon with red flakes. It's not science but I use green pumpkin on clear water and sunny days. Black and blue for cloudy days or dust and dawn. When I use watermelon and red flakes I use it for sunny days on stained water. You just can't go wrong with those colors.

the color i have the most luck with (because i use it the most) is pumpkin w/black and green flake..

i like the orange(ish) color with the green flake...a good bluegill imitator.. imo..

I have to agree with you, I've been using the Strike King Shimee Stick in Pumpkin Black flake, and they can't resist it. I think also the pumpkin color makes it look like a real worm.

Check out watermelon violet, was a limited color last year but i foud it was stocked again this year.

ANY color.  As long as it is green.  I don't care if it is green pumpkin, green watermelon, or green cucumber.....it doesn't matter if it has black flakes, red flakes or platinum flakes.  As long as the worm is green, I'm confident and catching bass.

Everybody has their preference and that's fine.

I would try add simulate the colors of the panfish and minnows that you see swimming around in the shallows.

Green Pumpkin

Black/Blue with a blue tip

Well, thanks you guys and the dang Baitmonkey I bought a 100 pack of green pumpkin w/ black flake Senkos from Tackle Warehouse. I waited for their July 4th sale.

 

 

I also got a Live Target Mouse, a pack of Rage Bugs in green pumpkin, a Savage Frog with kicker legs, and a pack of Biffle Swing Jigs.
