Best Crankin Reel For 75 To 150

I have around 75 to 150 to spend. Which crankin reel would you sug? Thanks

On the low end a BPS Pro Qualifier can be had for about $80 on sale with a gear ratio as low as 4.7:1.  I wouldn't know what reel to suggest on the high end.  The Tatula comes in a 6.3:1, but I hear rumors that they will be coming out with a deeper spool....and I assume a lower gear.  If a 6.4:1 would work for you (and it would for me as I don't do any deep cranking), then the Lews BB1HZ can be had for as low as $118.  I don't know which Shimano $150 would buy you, but one in that range would also be a good option.  The Daiwa Lexa can be had in 6'3:1 for just over $112 on sale.

 

Now if you are willing to buy used then there are more options available within that price range.

 

EDIT:  Would you consider a round reel?  There are several in that price range that would make excellent cranking reels.

The Pro Qualifier is a great little reel for cranking, especially if you get it on clearance.

I have an Abu Garcia Orra winch.........they are $99. It replaced an older and heavier Curado 201DPV that Iused for years deep cranking. I don't miss the Curado.

I used a PQ 4:.9:1 for awhile. Worked well for me. I have upgraded tithe tatula p 5.4;1 but haven't been able to use it yet so time will tell. I'm expecting good things from It though.those are for deep divers. Square bill , lipless, and other cranks are all reeled with a daiwa advantage hst 6.3:1.

Tatula would be great for any cranks over 1/2 oz (really shines in the 3/4 oz+).. My vote goes to the chronarch/curado 201e6. The e5 is too slow for me. Best cranking reel I have come across for a number of reasons.

I like it a lot. It's my second favorite reel at the moment behind my Abu Revo Gen3 STX. I like it better than any of the Curados I have (51E's) or have had (201DPV, 201G) and Citica's I have had (201D's and 201E's)

$79.79, Here you go, this is what I've been using.  You can spend more and upgrade to a tournament pro, but for those big heavy dd22's and xd6's I've found that this thing is perfect- It casts, for me,  further than the STX and is about half the price.  This seller is great to... Fast shipping.  I've bought several reels from them and not a problem at all...

Id go with the tatula type r or a lews bb1 pro or tournament pro depending on what kind of braking system you prefer. All three will bomb cranks a long ways but i like the tp the best for really dialing it in as it uses both mahnetic and centrifugal brakes
