Tburkett Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 i am a machinist with all the capabilities of building a hydraulic jack plate. I think I have it all figured out just by taking measurements but I can not find any kind of blue prints on the real deal. does anyone know where I can find them Quote
Super User Way2slow Posted June 22, 2014 Super User Posted June 22, 2014 Are you talking Hydraulic or manual? There are tons of different design types, from the basic which is just a couple pieces of heavy aluminum angle put together with adjusters and slots in the side to some much more complicated models with a easy to use singe, center adjustments. Hydraulic get pretty expansive, many use the older style, remoted, Mercury Trim pump. As for a source of a blue print, not sure you will find one. Just pick out one you like and copy it. Quote
Tburkett Posted June 23, 2014 Author Posted June 23, 2014 well the manual is no problem I am making one for a small boat now . but I want to make a hydraulic for a 150hp im sure its not hard just wanting to make sure im right before I do it. aluminum is expensive and I hate to machine it all just to throw it away Quote
