I've had zero luck on the A-rig until today and I got my first catch on the A rig and it was a double! One about 2 pounds and another about a pound and a half. Not huge fish but I was pretty amped up for my first double. Yumbrella rigged with money minnows.

Haven't gotten a double on the A rig yet, but I don't throw it much.  I did get a double on a Spook on Wed., I've had that happen numerous times. Doubles are nice as they don't happen often, but the majority of the ones I end up getting kill the fun out of the fight.  It's more like dead dead weight that you're reeling in. Maybe it's different for the A-rig

I've fished an A rig quite a bit and never doubled on it. I've doubled a bunch on cranks, traps, spooks, poppers, and jerkbaits, but never on an A rig.

I've doubled close to 100 times on the arig, tripled about 15 times and even quadrupled one!

No pics here...Im still using an old Pantech "dumb phone".  I can send a text message on it...sometimes lol.  I did post a report a couple years back of one of the better days where I doubled up and tripled a few times.

Its not that I think your lying its just a quadruple with an A-rig sounds alittle too awesome..

When you get into a school of fish so thick that you can feel your bait bouncing off of one fish and into another its not hard to see how you can catch 4 at a time.  Like I said, Ive only boated 4 in one cast one time, but Im pretty sure Ive hooked up with 4 a few times and 5 a couple of times too.  When you get that many fish on though its hard to keep em all buttoned.  Come on down to Toledo Bend next May and I will show you what I mean!

It's cool but the guys I've talked to that have done it say it's a lot like dragging a 5 gallon bucket in, just a lot of weight and no fight. It happens for sure.

Arig will do it.  I found that after you hook the first one dont just reel it in as fast as you can.  Let it fight and start slow.  The second will jump on it then.  Sure you loose the fight and feels like a five gallon bucket, but thats OK with me!

Lol maybe I need to get into using the Alabama rig, It just seems like there is way to much grass to use it in the places I fish....

Wait into October when the grass starts dying. The arig shines October-May around here.
