Used Halo (and loved it) for years before switching to braid. Now I just use it for leader.

Sucks! Stiff and springy (10#). Guess I'll have to try the sniper or invizx stuff.

That's just how fluoro is, to a degree.  Invizx is the closest to mono that I've tried.  It's soft and very stretchy.  I've used Pline 100% fluoro and found it to be pretty manageable, haven't tried Halo yet.  Pline generally makes very good lines in my experience.

If you're trying to use it on spinning gear you'll struggle to use any type of fluoro in 10lb. Try some 6lb and it will be much easier. On baitcasting gear you just have to adapt your technique a bit to accommodate it's properties.

Thanks. I was sort of coming to the conclusion that I may need to notch the poundage down. Or, do the braid/flouro thang.

8# is the heaviest that is manageable on a 2500 size reel. If you want to go to 10#, a 4000 would be better. 6# Halo is very nice on a 2000 and 2500 reel. 8# works on a 2500.

Yes, Halo in 10 is way to stiff for a 2500 size spin reel, Halo is different from their regular soft floro as it has added abrasion element and a light green color designed to take the flash off floro. I like 20 Samuri Daiwa braid with 8lb Halo leader for drop shot, shakey head. Wacky soft plastics. Try 6 Halo or 8 reg soft fluorocarbon.

I use 15 to 20 Halo on Jigs depending on the size and cover I'm fishing, great line really strong.

InvizX is the way I go.  Tried P-Line and had a lot of break off's.  I think it was their fluoroclear.  That was 8lb test.

Huh I use 20# Pline 100% fluro on one of my jig rods and i like it a lot. I would definetly try Sunline Super FC Sniper thats my absolute favorite fluro all time

Used P Line for all of 5 minutes took it off my spool and switched back to Seagur Red Label 12#
