You're in Abu/Lew's/Shimano/Daiwa country on these forums. Very few Quantum/Aredent/Pfleuger guys but they do exist.

Are they still made in the US?  I thought they were but may have changed to over seas production. 

I always thought the older ones were overpriced, and the new ones look like lews/abu/ etc.

The Ardent reels I've worked on I've found to be heavy and not very refined. The "Flipping" reel with no level wind or drag is gimmicky. I want a working drag on any reel that goes on one of my rods

people say that they are made in china but the other day i went to bass pro and looked at one and it still say made in USA. the new ones that just came out Apex series are made in china but the Edge reels are still made in USA.
