LipRipper87 Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 I've had lots of success on the havoc bottom hopper and spot remover jig head... But are there any better choices out there? Quote
Kevin22 Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 I've fished the owner ultrahead, it was pretty good. But I have since just went to basic round head shady heads. I buy them locally at an okay price, no brand on them so I don't know where they are getting them. For worm. I use hand poured 6-7" finesse worms. Various brands from guys I know. Zoom finesse is the store bought bait of choice. Quote
Fish Murderer 71 Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Charlies worms finesses. Black, watermelon, pumpkin seed, and tequila sunrise. I use a cheapy off brand from wal-mart. Black football screw-head with red hook 1/4 oz . 2.99 for 5... Quote

stk Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I agree with deadadrift89. I use this exact same set up, I have both 3/8oz and 1/4oz megastrike shake2 pro Quote
Dave23 Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 The Omega Savior heads with zoom trick worm or zoom finesse worm, a 5inch senko is always good too. Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I like the round headed shaky head hook with a screw lock. Owner makes an expensive version, but I buy the cheap Vicious ones at Walmart and have been happy with them so far. I have some spot removers that I got on clearance from Gander, but they feel too heavy for most situations that I fish. As for worms, you can use just about anything on a shaky rig. I use BPS cut tails, Zoom Trick and Finesse worms, Rage Tail Thumpers, and others. I have tried flukes and brush hogs too, and while not conventional for a shaky head, they work very well. Quote
MacP Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Spot remover and trick worms. I also like spot removers and rage craws if I fell like losing money :tongue8: <---- that's what the fish do with Rage Baits. Quote
Super User Alpster Posted June 21, 2014 Super User Posted June 21, 2014 Megastrike Shak e. Best stand up jig period. I like smal creature baits or trick worms. Quote
Brock Grigsby67 Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 I like the strike king shaky head and a zoom trick worm Quote
OroBass Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 I like the owner ultra head but want to try the mega strike shakE2 Quote
Super User whitwolf Posted June 21, 2014 Super User Posted June 21, 2014 http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/Zenith-Shake-Head-044.htm I throw a number of baits on this shakeyhead: Zoom finesse worm, Zoom 4" dead ringer, R.I. smallie beaver, and my new favorite : http://www.customluresunlimited.com/inc/sdetail/10789/10793 .
