I know I keep posting questions about the same topic but I have narrowed it down to these two. Which would you choose? They both will cost me $100

A better comparison would be the veracity vs the micro magic as they are both at the $150 price point.

Yea but I'm not spending $150. I can buy the veracity for $100 like I said in my origional post. That's y I am comparing it to the ghost

Yes I would appreciate it

Veracity hands down. My personal opinion I do not like Duckett Rods. Had to many problems with them breaking and since I switched to Abu Rods I have broke a few but by my own stupidity.

I'm also a big abu fan. Love revos and never broke an abu rod or had any issues. Do you by any chance have an abu rod in the 7' 6"MH?

The duckettt scare me for two reasons. 1. The guides on the ghost series. 2. Their under rated on power

I'm starting to lean more towards the veracity. I know that their typically rated heavier than what they are labeled. I'm just hoping that a 7' 6" MH isn't a broom stick and I can still cast 1/4 oz t-rigs, jigs and Carolina rigs without losing sensitivity. I have 7' MH veritas but I don't like the lack of backbone they have for jigs and Carolina rigs

i say veracity all day long. boyd duckett kicks puppies and steps on fish. okay, the first one isn't true but why on earth a 200-pound man has to step on a 2-pound bass to subdue it is beyond me.  :tsk-tsk:

anyway, with the veracity, you can also send away for an embroidered abu sweatshirt...i have four or five of them and they're very nice and great for fishing in the mornings or in the fall.

Yes I already have a sweatshirt too lol. So I'm not letting that play too big of a factor

I would like to know, If they are under rated, then what are they under rated compared to? There is no Rod standard. Maybe the other rods are just over rated?

I'm a Duckett guy, through and through but the rods you are trying to compare is not really fair. If you can buy the $160 rod for $100 Then it shouldn't be much of a question. Go with it.

Well I do not nor does anyone I know have any experience using a veracity. Everyone I know has only used veritas and vendettas. So I didn't know if they were hated on as much as the veritas
