flyingmonkie Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Spilled a little JJ's, and now I've got Mythelate colored hands! The bass may like the smell (worked well on my fluke tonight), but I can't stand it! Any tips? Tons of soap and water and a healthy dosing of vinegar have yet to cut the color or the odor. At least I don't have to worry about vampires tonight... Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted June 18, 2014 Global Moderator Posted June 18, 2014 Toothpaste is what I use to get rid of bad smells on my hands. Might not make it go away completely but it does cover it up pretty well. Quote
Tony L. Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 I actually use shampoo to remove smells from my hands. Not sure why, but when I am done cleaning a mess of catfish, its the only thing that removes the scents of both the fish and the stinkbait. Use a handful and wash as if it were any other liquid soap Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted June 18, 2014 Super User Posted June 18, 2014 I'd try lacquer thinner. Quote

Super User Choporoz Posted June 18, 2014 Super User Posted June 18, 2014 Maybe I've been spilling and soaking in it for too long....but I LIKE that smell. It is in my car...in my closet...in one of my gear bags....doesn't bother me at all anymore Quote
Drewski73 Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Lemon Juice has worked for me. Just make sure you dont have any line cuts! Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted June 18, 2014 Super User Posted June 18, 2014 I swear its so weird. I read a thread about scratching cuardos and I scratch my tatula, I read a thread about spilling JJs and I spill JJs, maybe I should read more threads about catching big fish.... 1 Quote
