I have a little local tournament coming up. Its just a tournament for fun.  I was just trying to get some ideas and input on how you would approach the water. Lure colors and type lures you would use.  There are very few contours and the ones that are there are a slow drop, but there is a long grass line(gator grass) a good many stumps. Can only use a trolling motor because of the stumps out there its to dangerous.  Its dark brown water/staind.  The water is 85 degrees right now.  I can't wait to get out there and learn something new

if there isn't much structure then the fish will hold tight to what little there is. Try and pre-fish the area and mark stumps and brush piles. If the water is stained and lower visibility I would be fishing a black and blue football head, slow rolling a chatterbait or a t-rigged 10" black worm. Squarebills over the stumps could draw some nice reaction bites. Good luck.

Squarebills through the timber, bright swim jig (bladed if heavy stain) along over and through the grass. Work what little contour there is with a jig and work every inch of it. If thats all the structure there is I guarantee that fish are holding to it
