Gonna FINALLY try out the wacky rig, as I've put off really using this technique for a loooong time. Been looking at some wacky jig heads and really don't know which ones to get. Any recommendations?

I use the 1/0 size  hooks from VMC, then I also have the 1/16 weedles whacky jigs from VMC, and the weedles whacky hooks from VMC. I only got the 1/16 whacky jigs because I fish from the bank where a majority of the time it's 5' or less. In IMO anything heavier would fall to fast for it being that shallow.

I've used the VMC 1/0 Octos with a Strike King Shimee stick with no issues. Even caught my personal best with it.

If you're looking for a slightly beefier rig - one you can throw in & around cover with a little heavier line - the Revenge Flippin Wackers jig is simple, yet incredibly effective.

It include a low profile, sleek design custom painted head, with the super sharp, extra-strong Mustad Ultra Point hook.

The weed guard, and weighted head allow you to fish your favorite bait in the heaviest cover and is perfect for wacky rigging a Yamamoto Senko.

If I want to use a weighted head its the vmc.

If weightless I just use a 1/0 or 2/0 octopus, or circle hook.

I use the VMC Wacky Jigs- I will say that these things are awesome for skipping senko under docks.  Caution though...  If you bend this jig and try to bend it back- it will break!

I've also used an 1/0 octopus with a split shot and it worked well on a windy day.

I use the VMC wacky jigs with spinning tackle/light lines, and the Revenge flipping wackers on casting gear/ heavier line/etc.... I used to use the weighted Falcon K-wacky hooks, but I ran out of those and tried the Revenge..............won't be going back to the Falcon.

I started fishing wacky this year and the great thing about it is when you do hook a fish, its usually a decent sized one, and you can catch fish in the middle of the day when the fish are lazy and not biting anything else. I use the jackall weedless wacky jig head due to the amount of snags where I fish.
