Alright I have decided to get one of the duckett ghost rods. Seem like a great rod for the price that they are listed at. However I need a little advice. I have never used a duckett rod and do not know how stuff they are compared to others. For Texas rigging with a bullet weight I use a medium heavy veritas. For senkos I use a medium heavy veritas. I would like to have a jig rod and I know the 7' 3" heavy would be great for when I fish jigs. Do you guys like to use something in the 7'3" heavy for t-rigging craws etc? Or is it too stiff and you lose too much sensitivity? I'm just unsure on what to do...

I throw anything 3/8 oz and up in texas rigs or jigs on a heavy power rod, but I know a lot of people that throw 3/8 - 1/2 on a medium heavy.  You already have two medium heavys so I would go with a heavy power rod on this one. BTW the rod I use the most for these techniques is a 7'4" heavy mod-fast if you were wondering about the length. I used to use shorter rods until I got a couple longer rods now most of mine are longer than 7'.

I always fish really clear water so the heaviest weights/jigs I own are 3/8oz. That's what has me torn. I'm not into jig fishing as much as other techniques but I think part of the reason is that my 7' MH rods don't seem to have the backbone for a good hook set. You think that if I were to go with like a 7' 6" MH it'd be a fair compromise? To where it would give me a little more power without sacrificing the sensitivity?

You need to know that Duckett Rods are a step lighter than what most rods are marked at. If you are using a medium heavy veritas, then a heavy action Duckett would be closer to that MH veritas action. A Medium Heavy will feel like a medium action veritas. Also, I would go with the 7'3" Heavy Duckett Ghost for what you are wanting to do. Hope this helps.
