I've been seeing infomercials lately for the newest miracle gear. we've all seen them come and go. The ads are all hilariously bad. Has anybody ever fallen for it and grabbed one? maybe actually had success?

I hate to admit it but ive fell for a few of these baits. Ive bought flying lures, helicopter lures, banjo minnows, and the mighty bite kit. I knew going in there is no real miracle lure but i thought they might be worth a try. Sad thing is out of all that i never caught a bass on any of them. The only fish i caught on these baits was a gar on a banjo minnow

Actually, the "Flying Lure" is one that does work. Basically a reverse rigged tube. I do the same thing with Fat Ikas and have had a great deal of success.

A friend swears by the Banjo Minnows.

I didn't believe in the banjo minnow until my friend let me use his. It's a lot like a Zoom Fluke. I tried everything fishing and didn't catch anything until my friend handed me his banjo minnow and said don't lose it, it's my only one. I caught 4 fish quickly on it and then immediately lost it in a tree. lol.

I bought a pack afterward and have caught some nice bass on it. But I haven't used it since.

My friends dad uses Banjo Minnows all the time and catches lots of bass.  I laughed the first time I seen him use it cause I didn't believe it would work.

A friend and I got a pack of the 007 banjo minnows( halfway as a joke) and they do actually work, i haven't used them in a few years but I have caught a lot of fish on them including a 6.5 lbr' on the vey first time I used one lol

Point is everyone is trying to sell you something and you just have to weed through the bad ones to find the ones that work. From the TV or from the shelf

I bought a pack of the original banjo minnows off TV and caught a ton of fish with them.

i know for fact the flying lure works, ive caught bass on them years ago when my uncle had a kit of them. as for some of these other tv lures, apparently they work too, as evident by some here saying theyve had success with them. i'd certainly give them a try, but i think many have been pre-conditioned to think they dont work. someone tries them once or even someone who has never tried them, says theyre trash or gimmicks, and people instantly buy into that...

I am not sure if the Banjo minnow triggers a genetic response so that fish have to bite......but i can say they do produce and are a pretty good bait.

Didn't someone on here catch a bass on a T-rigged shoelace lol?

The Banjo Minnow actually taught me about nose hooking a fluke to get more action and the banjo minnow bodies worked pretty well in their own right. I also caught a ton of smallmouth on them as I got some as a gift and I went through them all and after they were used up I went right back to a fluke but sometimes I nose hook them.

They got me with the helicopter lures, they suck. Got me with a couple of different swim baits, not bad. Got my dad with odd big ole circular things I don't even now what they are.

I got some banjo minnows last year and just used them last week. Was surprised they actually worked great. They also catch turtles, here's a video last week at a pond by my house catching a turtle on one.

Ya that banjo minnows really do catch fish and really good sometimes. The guy who mad them also makes frogs that work too. Now the guy has mass produced versions of the frogs for like $9-10 I think. I never used one of those but had the hand crafted ones that run like $30+ and caught a bunch of fish on them. I don't have them any more since my brother lost one and so did I. I just haven't be pressed to buy any more because of there price. If I spend good money on one lure now a days it's for swimbaits not frogs.

Banjo Minnows ... When learning how to fish a fluke I came across their instructional videos.  They were very informative on the different ways to fish a fluke.

After seeing the videos I caved in and bought a few packs of the small yellow perch and some weights.

What do you know ... it caught fish.   :)

No really lol. I saw the video. It was just a plain white, flat shoelace lol.

I've seen the banjo lure for sale at gander mountain. I'll have to give it a second look next time I'm down there.

Those TV miricle lures may be more gimmicky than anything, but they are fun to watch on TV.

if the banjo minnow works so well, then why is it a banned topic here? just wondering...

Because the manufacturer spammed the forums several times here.
