bighed Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 I'd just like to know if it's possible to pour plastisol in a mold and then heat the mold to cure or if it must be heated before pouring. Thanks for your responses. Quote

Thanks for your responses. No. There is a product made by spike -it that you can "cold pour" and then heat but regular plastisol need to be too high in temp for the radient heat from the mold would get it hot enough. Quote

Thanks for your responses. Plastisol starts out looking like milk. As you heat and stir it begins to look like epoxy. Then it thins out and turns clear. After it turns clear you add the colorant and glitter. As you can see smalljaw was 100% correct with his answer. Quote
Denea Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Bighead, also make sure you have a proper ventilation (and a respirator), along with good gloves when pouring. Plastisol, and other plastics fumes are toxic. Quote
bighed Posted June 18, 2014 Author Posted June 18, 2014 Thanks for the feedback gents. I guess it doesn't work like the old creepy crawler set I had when I was a kid. Quote
