Super User Catch and Grease Posted June 13, 2014 Super User Posted June 13, 2014 Hey guys, when I use jigs I'm almost exclusively using zoom speed craws and rage craws as my trailer but I was thinking about trying out some rage tail space monkeys, do you guys like them as a trailer? I've caught fish on them Texas rigged and I'm thinking it would be a good trailer when you want something with a little more action. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted June 13, 2014 Super User Posted June 13, 2014 I bite a half inch off the head and thread it on. I'll also use the baits with the front flappers missing. 1 Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted June 13, 2014 Super User Posted June 13, 2014 They work well. As noted above you may want to remove a small part of the front end and I like to remove the small side arms. The longer front claws and non hollow body make it a good choice for medium to larger jigs. Quote
TorqueConverter Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 I like them much better than the Rage Craw Chunks as a trailer. The Rage Craw Chunk durability was so poor that the act of placing in onto the bait keeper was destroying the baits. The Rage Space Monkey is much more durable and has really changed my opinion of Rage Tail Products. I swear the Rage Craws use a different plastic formulation. Quote
doyle8218 Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 I trim a little off the head and use em on jigs. I do the same with the Smokin Rooster. Quote
