Super User tcbass Posted June 12, 2014 Super User Posted June 12, 2014 I have two new Revo Rockets and I can't open the sideplate on either to access the magnetic drag. I loosened up the cross screw (same design as my Plueger Patriach) but it won't slide or move at all. I've tried both reels and it doesn't work. I made sure the screw was fully unwound. I've googled this and can't find a video or answer. So, please, how do you access the sideplate on a Revo Rocket? Quote
Super User aavery2 Posted June 12, 2014 Super User Posted June 12, 2014 Loosen the thumb screw as you have described, the side plate should then rotate either up or down, sorry can't recall which direction. If the sideplate feels like it will not move, check your spool tension and make sure that it is not cranked down, if so loosen the spool tension cap and try to rotate the side plate. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Even when loosened the screw has some spring tension on it. Pull out lightly to keep it from hanging up and rotate the side plate clock wise (front side up). Quote
CJV Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Check to make sure there's no tension on your spool Quote

Super User tcbass Posted June 13, 2014 Author Super User Posted June 13, 2014 Thanks guys. Problem solved. It was the spool tension knob. Quote
